Book a trial make-up
As we discussed before it is wise to learn to wear the makeup long before the wedding day. As the time is near it is good to book a trial makeup. Hopefully by this time you should know the colour of your dress, the flowers, so you can decide on the final look of the makeup.
(If you find out two days before the wedding that your makeup artist can’t come up with the desired outcome it is too late. If you learn, that although the makeup is great but you still feel uneasy wearing it, that’s also too late.)
Have your hairdresser make your hairdo, bring along your wedding gown, shoes, all the accessories, and then go to see your makeup artist. One less thing to worry about on your wedding day.
If you can’t bring your wedding dress, than wear a white shirt or a strapless top. Wearing a colourful dress can be really misleading when you are trying to judge the makeup.
How long does it take to prepare the bridal makeup?
Count at least an hour. When booking your appointments keep in mind: first the hair, than the makeup. (For the eyelash extension you should allocate at least 90 minutes, but remember, try to get it done 3 or 4 days prior to the wedding day.)
